Rainbow Medicine by Jesse Webb

“Rainbow Medicine”

* I call it a “transmission”, because I’m not sure what else to call it. It is an audio transmission of whatever comes through me as I sit with the painting. Sounds, song, english words, light language, guided meditations. I don’t try to make sense of it or control it, I just open my mouth and let it flow. I think of it as a vocal transmission of the energy of the painting.

About this Painting

“Rainbow Medicine” was started in August of 2016, and was a Soul Art journey (based on Laura Hollick’s Soul Art process) about healing when I had whooping cough. The intention for this painting was a question: What do my heart and throat want me to know?

This painting speaks to me about expressing my true self, speaking my truth. I see peacock feathers coming from the throat chakra and think of showing my true colors, speaking my true colors. It feels like an opening of the throat, the voice, and I see a flow of energy coming up from the root chakra through the sacral, solar plexus and heart chakras, and up and out through the throat. At the time, it spoke to me of the need to SPEAK my truth. The cough felt like something needing to get out, something needing to be spoken.

I see a lot of galactic energy in this one too, in the symbols, the space ship, the swirls that make me think of galaxies. It feels like this is an important part of what I am here to speak out about, to be open and honest about this aspect of myself. And the more I do, the more freedom and healing I experience.

I see flow and alignment. Divine order. Layers of the self, and energy flowing between the parts. Integrating, and expressing from an aligned place within myself. I see the rainbow layers and think of protection, like a rainbow skin, holding the right things in and keeping the wrong things out. Everything filtered through the rainbow of divine order and full expression.

I see a fire in the belly, that rises up into the heart and throat. I see a butterfly speaking of transformation through the fire, and a burst of light that shines out. I see a rainbow warrior dancing in the dark of the unknown, facing her inner fears and letting her true colors shine.
