Path of Highest Excitement by Jesse Webb

“Path of Highest Excitement”

* I call it a “transmission”, because I’m not sure what else to call it. It is an audio transmission of whatever comes through me as I sit with the painting. Sounds, song, english words, light language, guided meditations. I don’t try to make sense of it or control it, I just open my mouth and let it flow. I think of it as a vocal transmission of the energy of the painting. I recommend you listen to it while looking at the painting.

 About this Painting

“Path of Highest Excitement” was painted at the beginning of 2016 as an intuitive process to work with my intention for the year. My intention for this piece was: Guide me to my path of highest excitement, so I may fully express the abundance I AM!

This painting speaks to me of keeping my gaze focused on my highest excitement, my highest joy, that highest version of myself. And trusting the divine perfection that is the very essence of who I am.

The rainbow theme shows up in the dots and makes me think of structure, DNA, encoded with the full spectrum. It reminds me that I am the rainbow, the full spectrum, and each part, each aspect is just as valid, just as important, as any other. It takes all the parts working together to make the rainbow.

This art show came about as a result of following that path of my highest excitement – both the show itself, and the rainbow theme that flows through my art that this show is based on. There is an excitement for me in rainbows, and painting them. It feels like so much FUN, and these colors bring me so much JOY. And getting to share it all with you in this way is definitely my highest excitement in this moment!

As we journey Over the Rainbow Bridge during this art show, I invite you to be open to what the rainbow of my art has to share with you. To follow your excitement and connect with the paintings that spark something for you.

Looking back now, that year, 2016, continued on to be one whopper of a year with some big leaps in following my highest excitement! I moved back to my hometown on Gitxsan territory in so-called British Columbia, Canada, after 10 years out in Ontario. I ended a 9-year relationship to follow my truth. I decided I wanted to have a child, and to do so without a conventional relationship – and went through my first miscarriage.

It was a wild ride of a year, and led me back home to myself in many ways. It also set the stage for even more magic to be created right up to today. And this painting – and the intention for it – was a big part of setting the stage for all of that to happen!
